Preliminary Schedule for Women’s Retreat

What are the accommodations?

The Franciscan Center is a Retreat and Conference Center run by the Franciscan Friars, Order of Friars Minor.  Most rooms are double occupancy with some private rooms.  The Chapel is beautiful, renovated in recent years.

The Retreat Center is located only 3.5 miles from Route 93, approximately 35 minutes from Manchester.  Click on the link (http://www.franrcent.org/) to view their website.

What do I bring?

Bedding, soap and towels are provided for at the Retreat Center.  Bring clothing, personal hygiene items, shampoo, Bible, rosary, and snacks to share in our gathering area.

What is included in my fee?

The cost of the event is $165 for a double room or $200 for a single room (registration information is found below).  Your room, meals (Saturday breakfast through Sunday lunch), and retreat material are included in your fee.  You may bring money for the bookstore, which offers a wide variety of books, music, and assorted gifts.

How do I get there?

Retreatants drive themselves and sometimes car pool.  If you have a transportation need, please notify us and we will do our best to find someone coming from your area to share a ride with.

What should I expect?

The seminar primarily serves to establish or deepen our relationship with Jesus, and to lead us to experience an awakening to the power of our sacramental Baptism and Confirmation through an experience of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit – a fuller expression of the Spirit as in our own personal experience of Pentecost.

The seminar is most effective when approached with a posture of faith, openness and expectancy.

What if I have special needs either physical or dietary?

Please call or e-mail your special needs or requests to the name below.  We do the best we can to make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable.  Advance notice is needed for dietary needs.
